Mobile App Development

Mobile apps your customers and field teams actually use

We design and build iOS and Android apps for GCC businesses — with Arabic RTL interfaces, regional payment gateways and app store performance treated as requirements, not extras.

Overview

A lot of apps commissioned in this region ship once and then decay: reviews slide, the offshore team that built it has moved on, and nobody owns the backlog. VOX GCC builds apps as products with an owner. We start from the job the app must do — repeat orders, bookings, field service dispatch, loyalty — define the metrics that prove it, and design the smallest release that moves them.

The native-versus-cross-platform question is answered by your economics, not our preferences. For most customer-facing and field-operations apps, a single cross-platform codebase (Flutter or React Native) cuts build and maintenance cost significantly; where you need deep hardware access, heavy graphics or platform-specific performance, we build native Swift and Kotlin. We put the reasoning in writing before any code is committed.

Regional requirements are handled from the first sprint: proper Arabic RTL layouts rather than mirrored English screens, checkout with Mada, Apple Pay and STC Pay alongside card gateways, app store optimisation for Saudi and UAE storefronts in both languages, and backends hosted in-country where PDPL or your sector regulator requires it.

Business benefits

One codebase where it makes sense

Cross-platform builds cover iOS and Android from a single codebase, roughly halving ongoing maintenance cost compared with two native apps.

Arabic-first, not Arabic-translated

RTL layouts, Arabic typography and mixed Arabic-English content designed properly, so the Arabic experience is equal to the English one.

Regional payments built in

Mada, Apple Pay, STC Pay and regional gateways integrated and tested against real settlement flows — not left as a post-launch surprise.

Field operations that work offline

Apps for drivers, technicians and merchandisers that queue data locally and sync when coverage returns — built for how field work actually happens.

Found in the store, not buried

Bilingual app store optimisation for Saudi and UAE storefronts: listings, keywords, screenshots and review handling that sustain organic installs.

Why VOX GCC

1

Advice before code

We will tell you when a responsive website or a PWA beats an app, and when native beats cross-platform — with the cost comparison to back it.

2

We stay after launch

OS updates, store policy changes and device fragmentation break unmaintained apps. Our support plans keep releases current and reviews healthy.

3

Design and engineering under one roof

UX, backend, integration and store publishing are one accountable team — no gaps between an agency's designs and a contractor's build.

4

Gulf delivery since 2004

Two decades building digital products for businesses across the GCC, including the bilingual, compliance and payment realities of this market.

Frequently asked questions

Should we build native or cross-platform?

For most customer-facing and field apps, cross-platform (Flutter or React Native) delivers both stores from one codebase at meaningfully lower build and maintenance cost. We recommend native Swift and Kotlin when you need deep hardware integration, heavy graphics or strict platform performance. We document the recommendation with cost figures before development starts.

How much does an app cost and how long does it take?

A focused first release typically runs twelve to sixteen weeks from kickoff to store approval, depending on integrations and backend work. We scope a fixed-price first version around the core job, then iterate on a retainer, so the initial budget is known before we begin.

Do you handle Arabic and RTL properly?

Yes. We design RTL layouts natively rather than mirroring English screens, handle Arabic typography and mixed-language content, and QA on both language settings across common devices in the Saudi and UAE markets.

Can you integrate Mada, Apple Pay and STC Pay?

Yes. We integrate regional gateways and wallets — Mada, Apple Pay, STC Pay and card acquirers — and test the full flow including refunds and settlement reporting. If you do not yet have an acquiring relationship, we advise on gateway selection for your volumes and jurisdictions.

Who maintains the app after launch?

Either your team, after a full handover of code, documentation and store accounts, or ours under a support plan covering OS updates, store compliance, monitoring and a monthly improvement backlog. Most clients keep us on support for at least the first year while usage data shapes the roadmap.
